Re: Moms of 6-7 month olds

At that age DD and DS both drank 6oz per feeding 4 or 5x a day

DS napped 2x per day for approx 2 hrs each one... one at 10:30 another at 3:30- 4
i don't remember what DD did at that time.

DS didn't wake up at night at that age but DD woke up for a 4am feeding until she was 8 months.

Re: Moms of 6-7 month olds

When DS was 6-7 months old, his schedule was:

6:30am - wake up
7am - 8 oz bottle
8:30/9 - nap til about 10-10:30
10-10:30am - 8 oz bottle
12pm - cereal & fruit
1pm - 8 oz bottle
1:30/2 - nap til about 3:30
4pm - 8 oz bottle
6pm - cereal & veggie
7pm - 8 oz bottle
7:30pm - bed time

His schedule is still pretty much the same today at 8.5 months old except that he will have a waffle or yogurt for breakfast around 8:30 and dinner is now a Stage 2 dinner with puffs for dessert.

Re: Moms of 6-7 month olds

thanks girls! I think ds is changing his nap schedule on us, so i was curious what everyone else's schedule was like.

Plus he's only eating 5 oz at most at each feeding. He has about 5 or 6 bottles a day.

Re: Moms of 6-7 month olds

DD eats 5, maybe 6 ounces at each feeding. She gets 4 bottles a day. She naps around 9 (depending on when she woke up) and again between 1 and 2. She goes to bed between 7 and 8 and usually doesn't wake up til 7am. Sometimes, she'll wake up around 4 for 20 mins or so, and go back to sleep, but I don't go in there.
Hope this helps!

Re: Moms of 6-7 month olds

how many ounces does your dc take at a feeding?

Usually 6 oz at a time. Sometimes 4, sometimes 8. He has about 28 oz per day total. He is also eating 3 meals a day now.

how many naps a day do they take and for how long? around what time?

Usually 2 naps, 1 hour each. The first one is about 10-11am and the second about 3-4pm. He will also nap in the car if we are driving somewhere in addition to his normal naps.

how many times do they wake at night?

On a normal night, he doesn't wake at all. he sleeps from 9:30/10:00pm - 7am. When his 2 bottom teeth came in, he was awake every 2 hours for about a week straight. Same with when he had an ear infection. But normally he doesn't wake at night.

Re: Moms of 6-7 month olds

My son is 6 and a half months. He normally eats 6 oz per feeding but he is in a growth spurt right now and is up to 8oz. He eats every 2 - 3 hours, depending on the quantity of the last feeding. For naps, he is very inconsistent. He sleeps 30 minutes at a time during the day, with one 2 hour nap in the middle of the day. He also goes to bed around 7PM and wakes around 6AM. I would say that he takes a nap every 3 hours, if his schedule is consistent. Right now we are traveling, so nothing is consistent. Chat Icon

Re: Moms of 6-7 month olds

She nurses 2x a day and will take 3 bottles of about 4 or 6 ounces.

how many naps a day do they take and for how long? around what time?
Usually 3 naps - first one is 30-45 minutes about 9am; second in about 2 hours about noon; and the last is 30-45 minutes about 4pm

how many times do they wake at night?
Usually none. Sometimes she'll loose her binky and I have to put it back in, but that only happens once or twice a week.

Re: Moms of 6-7 month olds

DD is a little over 7 months and will only take 4 oz of formula at a time. She has four to five bottles a day. She has 5tbles of oatmeal and fruit for breakfast, fruit or yougurt for lunch, meat and veggie for dinner. She does not sleep through the night. She will go to sleep at 7am and wake up at 5:30 with 1-2 night wakings. She takes three naps a day totally 2.5-3 hrs.

Re: Moms of 6-7 month olds

My son will be 6 mos on the 5th. He doesn't really have a nap schedule but he does have an eating schedule.

wakes at 9am has a 7 oz bottle and then 2 oz of formula with 2-3 tablespoons of cereal (i mix barley and rice) with spoon;

nap from 11am-12pm

1pm-6 oz bottle with 1 small container of fruit

nap sometimes 1/2 hr from 3:30-4

5pm-8 oz bottle

sometimes a nap around 6pm-6:30

9pm-9 oz bottle with 3 tablespoons of rice cereal (in bottle)

Bed at 9:30pm and he doesn't wake until the next morning, 9am

we're going to start veggies next month and will add it after the 5pm bottle.

Re: Moms of 6-7 month olds

At that age, DS took 6oz per feeding - approx 5x a day. He also took 4tbsp of cereal 2x a day, as well as a veggie or fruit 2x a day (stage 2)

He took 2 naps, at that age napping wasnt so good, he was doing probably 2 45 minute naps a day. His naps were around 9:30am and 3:30pm.

And he was sleeping from 9pm-7am without waking.

Re: Moms of 6-7 month olds

I can't tell you how many ounces Ryan is at since I BF.

But, I can tell you he typically naps 3 times a day.

Wakes up at 7:30ish. 1st nap around 10, naps for about an hour. Second nap is around 12ish. Usually lasts about an hour. Last nap is 3 and usually lasts 2 hours.

At 6pm he gets cereal. 7pm bath. 7:30 bed. But does not sleep through the night and isn't even close.

Re: Moms of 6-7 month olds

DS is 6 1/2 months. Up until a week ago I nursed him in the morning & evening, but recently started pumping instead & giving bottles for those. I also took away 1 feeding last week. From 3 months until 6 months we did a 7am, 10am, 1pm, 4pm & 7:30PM bottles/ nursing. But he is power eating his food and did not seem to need all those bottles anymore!

An average day:

6:20ish AM wake

7AM- 6oz bottle

9ish 30-45 minute nap

11 AM - 7 oz bottle

sometimes there is a short 1/2 hour nap thrown in here

12PM - 2tbsp oatmeal and 1 small jar fruit or veggie

12:30 or 1 PM
usually there is a nap thrown in here too, never real consistant with a time or length though (not for lack of me trying!!!). coul dbe anywhere from 30 minutes or up to 2 hours recently.........

3PM - 7 oz bottle

6PM - 2tbsp oatmeal and 1 small jar fruit or veggie

7:30-7;45PM - 8-9 oz ( I prepare 9 but sometimes he doesn't finish)
