My 20 week appt. is Feb. 16th.

I have a silly question... I don't think I really asked my dr. because they always called it a 20 week visit and never addressed it as level II. I know the appt. is an hour and they told me if DH could come to any visit, that was the one because the sono is cool. And I know we'll get a bunch of pics. But last week, I mentioned to my sister that oh, my level II was next month and she said (she has same dr.) you have to go somewhere else for level II and I said they told me it was there and a special tech comes. So either they got new equip. since sis has been there or they just use the regular wheel in machine they've used in the past and just do more extensive exploring. I know the 3D sonos are different but is this going to be a different machine from before?

Sorry if this is too long for this thread! I just got excited to see a July post! Never did before! It's exciting to see I'm in a big group!

Denise -- good question and I'm not really sure. I would just call your OB's office and ask. I have to go to the hospital for my Level II because my OB's office doens't have the right equipment. But, I think if you had to go somewhere else they would have told you.

I have it on my list of questions for my next appt (2 weeks prior to 20)! I keep a pad on the fridge for all my Q's I want to ask! The visits are so in and out, I forget to ask everything.

During our ultrascreen, the sonographer said something about the baby and she referred to it as "your son" and then said "or your daughter" a bit after She said at that point they can be about 75% sure of the sex, but when we asked her to take a look, the baby promptly flipped over!

We'll find out for sure on March 23!

wow, lots not finding out on this thread!

I really really wanted it to be a surprise, but DH really wants to know and in the end, I figured it'd be easier as my mom can bring me clothes from the US when she comes to visit for the birth. Baby clothes are much cheaper and much much cooler in the States than they are here! Our next will be a surprise.

Everyone has their own personal reasons and experiences - speaking from my own, there was just something so special and magical about hearing the doctor yell out what my DD was in the operating room as they pulled her out.

The suprise and anticipation really helped me get through the labor and my intense fear of the c-section surgery. I'm a big wuss, and because I'm getting a scheduled c-section this time, and now know what to expect, which makes me even MORE scared, I know I"ll need something really exciting to focus on instead

We are going to find out..(have to schedule that appt for second week of Feb). I really dont have a feeling one way or the other about what we might have but I have been referring to the baby as "she" lately...hmmmm...

we're team so far as our sono tech guessed at 12 week level 1... ill update if she was correct after our 20 week. i was told not to call for another few weeks!

Hi! Thanks for adding me to the list!
I keep having dreams that we are having a boy. But, the ultrasound tech said if she had to guess it looked like a girl, but it was really still too early to tell....so we'll see!
