Hi - Introducing myself
Hi - I just wanted to introduce myself. My husband and I are both 38 years old and we have been married a little over 2 years. Just last week we decided to begin TTC. I am so scared that it might be too late for us. I always pictured myself being a mother but wanted to wait for the right time. I don't know if now is the "right" time but we may be running out of time. After lurking on here and seeing how so many people are having a hard time TTC that are much younger than me, I am feeling hopeless and we haven't even tried our first month yet! Does anyone have any stories of women my age that didn't have a problem getting pregnant naturally?
You all seem like a great bunch of people - I look forward to getting to know you!
Today is CD1 for me - I can't wait until we can begin to BD!

Welcome and good luck! I would definitely not freak too much about your age. But you should talk with your OB to find out how long you should try before you seek medical intervention.

dont feel hopeless...i have a friend who is 37 and going on her 2nd baby. hadnt had any issues getting pregnant as far as I know.
everyone is different and it might not take as long as you think!

My DH's cousin was 40 when she got pregnant on the first try...she had 2 kids earlier and then remarried to have the 3rd
Its totally possible

just wanted to say welcome! try and stay positive and not worry about possible problems ahead, and just hope for the best. plenty of women get pregnant at your age and later.

hello, and welcome!
You seem worried about your age...don't be. I have 2 friends who just gave birth this week. One is 37 and the other is 39. For both of them, it happened within 3 months of trying.
Hope your stay on this board is a short one!

Welcome!! I would not worry. I would talk to your dr to to check on what vitamins you should be taking. I have a firend who had a healthy baby 1 1/2 years ago at 42 years old. Good Luck!
