Would it bother you? Or am I being petty? Long

A little pregnancy related - only because I am super emotional lately because of my crazy hormones...

My birthday was this past weekend and, even though he never really makes a big deal, I figured this year DH would want to do something special because soon we're going to have an infant keeping us busy.

Anyway he did nothing - well he asked me what I wanted to do, but he has been super busy with work and also kept telling me he had so much to do on the weekend, so I didn't ask to do anything, just made plans for dinner one night with my dad (which dh did end up meeting us)

When I came home from work on Friday I got excited cause there were flowers on the counter, but they were from my dad. Nothing from dh - not even a card.

Obviously it bothers me cause I've been thinking about it since the weekend, but I don't know how to take it cause on one hand he has been soo busy, but on the other he finds time to talk to his friends throughout the day and play video games at night!

Oh and last weekend he tried to plan a big "before the baby" dinner with his friends (and me of course), but he did so much trying to put that together.

As someone who's DH doesn't get the concept of birthdays, it still drives me nuts. You are not being petty- you just want a little attention here!

Yeah, I don't think you're being petty. Let him know how you feel.
