Resolve Advocacy Day

Just in case some of you didn't get this email..

Dear Kara ,

Does your insurance policy cover infertility treatment?

Are you interested in adoption issues?

If so, I want to tell you about an amazing day I experienced when I participated in RESOLVE’s Advocacy Day last year (This year to be held on Thursday, March 30, 2006 in Washington, DC).

Advocacy Day was a really great experience! How many times in your life do you get to walk the halls of the US Capitol in Washington, DC for a cause you believe in? As a RESOLVE advocate, I spent the day meeting representatives from my state and encouraging them to support legislation that will help millions of infertile Americans.

I have to admit I was nervous at first, but RESOLVE prepared me for the meetings by offering talking points during a training session held that morning. I was ready to go after that! I also found it helpful that I was able to pair up with other people from my state for my appointments so I wasn’t alone.

One of the highlights of the day was when a prominent Congressman I met with confided that he and his wife had suffered from infertility and he understood our issue well. He wanted to know what we were doing and offered hope for the future.

You are probably wondering, "Is this day worth it? Will I accomplish anything with my presence? Is it worth the travel and hotel costs?"

My answer is YES! One person can make a difference. This cause is worth it. Come join the fun and register today!

Sincerely,
Renee

I can not make Advocacy Day, but want my voice heard! What else can I do?

Re: Resolve Advocacy Day

I believe there is an option to write letters. They had one for Virginia. I am going to look into that.
