Do I need more than one bouncer? One to entertain; one to soothe?
I already got the Fisher Price Rainforest bouncer. I was thinking of adding the Boppy one to my registry too. I feel like the Rainforest one is loud and will keep the baby entertained but the Boppy one looks more soothing and perhaps will put the baby to sleep.
Are you registering for more than one bouncer?

i don't have that one but i wish i did. you are right - for DS, the rainforest one is more for entertainment. you can remove the bar with the toys but then all it does is vibrate - and he never loved it. he only really liked it after he could see the toys and lights.
if you have the space, i would register for the boppy bouncer too

I registered for one only. It vibrates or sings or has a mobile option! I guess it all depends on how much room u have! keep in mind theres a swing, high chair , pack and play, boppy pillows, activity mats, ... you can clutter up real fast!

The rainforest one is larger, right? We had a swing and a smaller boppy bouncer. I liked having them both b.c the smaller, lighter one I could carry through the house and use wherever I needed it, like when I needed to get in the shower!

I am not sure how they compare in size. I don't think one is much larger than the other. I am just looking at them online.
We have a very minimalistic decor in our house now, which is how we like it. Normally we hate clutter.
However, I guess we do have the space for two bouncers and the swing and everything else a baby will need. All these ugly green Fisher Price Rainforest products that we are going to be getting will be messing up the look of our home anyways.

I got two... one for fun, and the boppy for relaxing... also, the boppy can move easily from one room to another.. my friend has it and she swears by it. Her DD sleeps in it all the time!

Do you think the soothing boppy bouncer is redundant to a swing?
We also registered for the Fisher Price Papasan swing.

You do not need 2, especially if you have a swing.

Honestly, I do. They are in the bouncer/bobby one for such a short period of time. We just had a FP infant/toddler rocker and the swing and that was plenty for my DD. This time I got the Rainforest one and plan on using that and my old swing.

I have a swing and a bouncer and that is more than enough for him right now.
I personally would only register for more than that if you are taking him to your parents for childcare during the day while you are at work, or are having multiples. But then, that's just me.

We shall see ........

You won't need 2 bouncers. It's a waste of space IMO. The noisy ones shut off and won't wake them while they are sleeping. DD was more interested in things to play with in front of her than any sounds - she even hated the soothing sounds on her swing and barely ever used that

Re: Do I need more than one bouncer? One to entertain; one to soothe?
We registered for and recieved 2 rainforest bouncers....1 boppy comfort seat....1 infant to toddler rocker......I am sure I will end up getting a 2nd boppy comfort seat(blue one) for the 2nd baby but I didn't want to overdo the buying if we could get away with one.......If you think about it these babies really have SO many things to sit in ..relax in..eat in.....etc......
I wasn't a huge fan of the infant to toddler rocker but got alot of suggestions from BTDT momma's that it was a lifesaver.....we shall see!
