ibuprofen

how much is too much? it says on the bottle no more than 6 in a 24 hour period unless drs orders...

I had a root canal last night and am in soooo much pain...I took 2 last night at 6:30, 2 at 11, 2 at 4:30, and just took 2 more now at 9:30.

I am someone whos scared to take vitamins with medicine (Im crazy, I know) but I am in so much pain

I would call the dentist and tell him u r in pain- maybe he will gve you something stronger.....When I had root canal, I took 3 advils at one point at one time, then it took the edge off. I finally gave in and called the dentist- it turns out I needed antibiotics and stronger pain medication then advil. feel better.

thanks, I called him and he prescribed vicadin....I have never taken something so strong, and I have bad reactions to meds so I am not sure if I am going to take it. Plus, obviously I can't take it while Im home with the kids...if I'm still in pain, I guess maybe Ill take it tonight...

But what could taking extra advil do? Could it just hurt your stomach?
