How long would you keep a BFP from DH....

Is it wrong to wait up to 3 weeks for a special occasion (a birthday or holiday)?

Just curious as to what others think

i wouldnt be able to keep it in. i tested at 6am and at 6:03 i woke DH up to shoved the test in his face. I think he'd want to know...but your DH can be different.

i know me personally i wouldnt be able to keep it a secret..

but if you can and want to wait for a special day .. thats great!!

I peed in a cup and DH took the test FOR me, so no- I wouldn't be able to keep it from him.

i wouldnt wait to tell himl i would be to excited. I have already decided that if i found out in the morning, then i will wait till he gets home from work to tell him, bc i want to see his facial expression.

I waited a weekend when pregnant with DD. I took the test while I was away for the weekend and I didn't want to tell him until I saw him in person.

For the last pregnancy, I told him immediately after I took the test.

I don't know if I'd be able to keep it from him...but the real questions is-

Is it WRONG of me to keep it from him for so long?

I'm not even PG yet...and don't know if I'll get the BFP anytime soon- so I'm just preparing for it "just in case"

I wouldn't be able to hide it, but do not think that it is wrong. I think that when he realizes how you thought of away to tell him about it and make it extra-special he will be OK with it.

I think I'd be able to hold off for maybe a day or two if there was an occasion coming up, but definitely no longer. Not because I thikn there's anything wrong with it, I just know I wouldn't be able to to contain myself.

I don't think I could wait.

We have been trying for a very long time, and he is just as anxious for me to be pregnant, so I feel like I would have to tell him right away

No way I could keep the secret even if I wanted! I don't think I could even wait a day. I feel like they deserve to know as much as you do, even if you want to make it special i feel like it's special on it's own!

I waited a week because we were away. I didn't want him to worry since I was supposed to see the ob as soon as I got a bfp (I'm high risk). He was happy about the bfp but upset I waited a week to tell him.

For me I will be lucky if I can wait 10 minutes to tell him.

As for whether or not not it is wrong, I think it depends on your DH's perspective on these types of situations. I know that my DH would be very annoyed with me if I kept it from him for that long. And to be honest, it would be impossible. He always asks about my cycle, so if I were three weeks late, no period, i think he would notice.

I guess every1 is different and it depends on your situation. We've been trying for so long and have gone through so much testing....I'd have to tell him right away. I don't think it's "wrong" to wait. I wish I could, but know that I wouldn't be able to if/ when the time comes.

i did not tell dh for two weeks with our dd- but i dont think i would do that again-

Nope, couldn't wait more than 1 day!

I have a plan on how to tell him (can't say, he's a bit of a stalker! ) but it would be VERY soon after finding out myself!

30 seconds! I literally jumped on the bed with the test in hand! There is absolutely NO way I could keep that from him for more than a few minutes.

As soon as the digital said PREGNANT I came running out of the bathroom crying and put the test right in his face lol there was no way to hold in the excitment I felt at that moment. I had this whole idea planned out on how to tell him but it never happen because I was just to happy to see the word PREGNANT and had to tell him.
