Leave replacement positions
I am currently working full time at a college but I am really wanting a position utilizing my certification in school counseling. I have a good shot at a leave replacement position but I am so torn what to do. Do I leave a full time job for a temporary one? I believe that once I have this experience I have a better shot at getting a full-time job at a school but obviously nothing is guaranteed.

Re: Leave replacement positions
I would and I did. I left a full-time job at a university for my first maternity leave position as a school counselor. I was able to negotiate a pt position at my same job at the university so I had something to fall back on. I had another leave replacement the next year (not full year) and finally, a full time counselor position the next year after that. It was a chance I was willing to take. As we know, it's really tough to get a counseling position, even a leave, and to me and DH (BF at the time) it was worth it to give up my FT job.
