How long did it take

for your miscarriage to happen? Dr. told me Sunday that my hormone level (hcg) had dropped 5 points and that I will be losing the baby. He couldn't tell me when though. How long should this take? I just want it over with, it is heartbreaking to walk around knowing that my baby is dying and I have to wait for it to happen.

My experience was a little different in that I had a missed m/c and then had to have a d&c, but I just wanted to say I'm so sorry. I had to wait several days for my d&c and they were unbearable. So sorry you're going through this

I'm so sorry you're going through this.....I would call the doctor and see if you can schedule a D&C. I wanted to get it over as soon as possible too, it was too hard knowing I was still pregnant but not pregnant all at the same time.

It was discovered that my pregnancy was probably not viable at 8 weeks, but I had my blood drawn and a repeat sono scheduled for the following week to be sure. My levels were at 20,000 at that point. The day after the repeat sono (after which I scheduled a D&C) I began to spot which turned to full on bleeding and a natural miscarriage over that weekend. When I returned to the doctor that Monday (1/19) at what would have been 9.5 weeks, my levels were 6500 and I have been going for blood tests ever since (and hopefully Thurs. will be my last one!)--the last blood draw on 2/5 revealed levels of 97. My doctor said it has to be below 5 to be considered not pregnant.

From my own experience I am very surprised that with levels of *only* 5, that you have not bled.

Oh wait...I just reread your post...your level dropped BY 5 points it is not AT 5 points. Hmmm...did they say what your levels were at? I probably would schedule a D&C if I were you--that's what I did, but I guess fortunately I didn't make it to that.

I'm going through something similar. My beta had been increasing, but not doubling and it finally just started to go down this week. And, my progesterone finally started dropping.

I'm not bleeding or cramping at all. Today is -- I don't even know what to call it -- 5w6d? CD42? 28dpiui? 12dp learning beta didn't double? 23dpBFP? The nurse told me to expect lots of cramping and bleeding 12 days ago.

My RE is monitoring my blood counts and is considering methotrexate. She hasn't mentioned a D&C. The RE is still concerned that it could be ectopic, but nothing was visible to the radiologist.

Most of my pg symptoms have subsided. My mood is all over the place.

We're all here for you. It's awful.

Thanks for you support . I'm going back to the doctor tomorrow night and hopefully will find out what is going on next.

It took a week for me. Got BFP on Sunday 2/1, realized I was bleeding 5 minutes later, bled heavily for 3 days, found out my HCG doubled from Mon to Weds, only to start bleeding again on Fri night (took PG test and line was faint, got a full fledged BFN this past Sunday) and bled heavily until Monday. Still spotting a bit. I'm so sorry you're going through this too
