I make packets with word searches, sudoku, crossword puzzles, math puzzles, those how many triangles do you see kinds of puzzles.
I find brain games on line and then I have books from barnes and nobles that I've purchased over time. I make packets of about 6 pages and they have to finish all the activities before they get a new one.
I also have differentiation activities for a unit that we are working on that they do when they finish.

We usually make them related to events and holidays month to month. Like this month is a February Packet, filled with Valentine's Day, President's Day, and Black History Month activities, puzzles, coloring sheets, connect the dots, crosswords, word search, etc.

we do this too.....myself and a teacher next door - we call them brainworks and then we also give math challenges that correspond to the math we learn??
