Those that failed 1 hr GD test
How many points did you fail by? And did you ultimately fail the 3 hr as well. I am having a breakdown right now.

I failed the 1 hour by 7 points. I just took the 3 hour this morning. I wouldnt panic. My nurse told me its common for some women to fail the 1 hour and pass the 3 hour.

With DD#1 I failed the 1 hour with horrible numbers something like 176 or so - I remember that they said if I failed by 4 more points I wouldn't even get to take the 3 hour. I passed the 3 hour btw with excellent numbers so go figure.

I didnt take the test yet. But my cousin just did and she failed the 1 hr by just a few points and then passed the 3 hour!!

When I was pregnant I failed with a score of 237. (It's suppose to be under 140) I didn't even take the 3 hr. test........I was sent straight to an endocrinologist.
Good luck!! If you have GD it's not the end of the world. I felt like it was at first and it was a struggle the first week but then it all becomes second nature and it's all temporary. As soon as Emerson was born it went away. The blood testing and insulin shots (if you need them) are really not that bad. The shots don't even hurt.

I failed the 1 hour by 1 point; they said it was 130 & she wanted it below 129. I then passed the 3 hour, no problem.

only a few points...
and I could not get through the 3 hr...I passed out 5 minutes after drinking the drink...
I was later diagnosed with Hypoglycemia a form of Gestational Diabetes..

I failed the 1 hr test by 3 points and just took the 3 hr test today. I have a pretty good feeling I passed but we will see in a few days!

Thanks ladies! I feel better now, I failed by 27 points my Dr. cuts off at 135 so I have a 162. I hope I pass the 3 hr.
