Twilight..Am I the only one???

I have to say that I wasnt going to read this book because I just didnt think the whole vampire thing was me, but some friends at work said I had to read it. After hearing so much hype I decided to try it. Im around page 300 and I can honestly say I dont know why everyone is so crazy about this book. Im having a hard time getting through it. Does it get better towards the end????

I must be crazy because I feel like I am the only one in the world who is not enjoying this book.

You are not alone. I was not a fan of that series either. I only read Twilight and Bella got under my skin so much, I couldn't read the rest of the series.

i saw the movie first so i couldn't really get into the book because it was so similar. but i'm really enjoying new moon the second book. i guess its not for everyone though

You are entitled to your opinion. But you definitely are one of the few that didn't enjoy it..

I didn't like it either...I felt it was written for a kid (which it is) and thought it was overall repetitive and sort of dumb....

I still can't figure out the hype or the whole Team thing....but that's just me.

I wasn't thrilled with it either and won't be reading the rest of the series.

I read the first one and thought it was okay...didn't get the hype.

Decided to read the second one and HATED it and I'm the type of person to read almost anything.

I think Bella is the worst role model for preteen girls ever...she annoys me to no end.

I thought it was pretty good. Just a silly light read. I'm half way through the 4th book and I think this one is the best of all of them

I am trying to get through it...I keep waiting to get hooked and its not happening. I am more then halfway through book.

If people loved book and hated movie...I would bet it was the worse movie ever made

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I'm in love with the series though...

I am finding these books pretty painful.

I liked the first one and really struggled through the second. Everyone told me that was the worst one in the series and to consider going forward which I did. I am a quarter way through the last book and I hate it so far. There's one part I am interested in reading but I have nothing else on deck so I am pushing through.

I didn't enjoy Twilight at all. I thought the writing was clumsy in spots, and while the story was decent, it just didn't draw me in. I really thought I'd love it, because I am totally the type to get sucked into these things (like I did with Harry Potter- I am a total groupie).

So I have no plans to read the others. And I don't get the hype either.

I agree, and I thought I was the only one!

Everybody seems to love these books... I read Twilight (my MIL was raving about it & let me borrow it) and I thought it was just okay. I was definitely not hooked though and I still don't get all the hype.

Now I'm reading New Moon and I'm only about halfway through, and I started it over a month ago! Again, it's okay, and eventually I'll finish it, but I don't love it as much as a lot of people do.

I really enjoyed the books but I have friends who felt so so about them. Mostly they felt the writing itself was ok. I think it's a matter of taste like anything else
