One ovary working?
I think only my right is working. I feel it and I have ovulated on my right for a few months now..not on my left.
I'm really scared that my chances are even lower than before with one ovary.
I need to call the doc. Maybe there's something they can do to wake up my left one? Wishful thinking.
Last cycle only two follies on the right..

Re: One ovary working?
I know my right ovary is the dominant one- rarely do I get a good folllie on my left side (maybe like once in the past 5 cycles). I usually only ever have ovulation pains on my right side, not my left.
Not sure what that means though....

Re: One ovary working?
I have a similar issue, but it's my left one that works. I have thickened ovarian walls and the doc thinks the right is more severely affected, therefore less meds get absorbed. I asked him if we could just remove it then so all the meds go to the left one and he just shook his head and smiled at me..oh well, I try!! I;m sure it's more common then we realize.

Re: One ovary working?
sounds like it's common.
My right is the boss...my left has chickened out!

Re: One ovary working?
We should all get together and alternate. My left is the only one working. After 2 ivfs, my RE noted that I have gotten all but 2 eggs from my left side. He thinks I have endo on my right ovary which keeps it from ovulating.

i don't know about endo but I was told they can try and do a lap and remove scar/thick tissue...sometimes it works, sometimes not.

Re: One ovary working?
If it requires surgery, it is done by laparoscopy or laparotomy, depending on the amount of tissue. My gf had an ovary removed and had a laparotomy because the endo was attaching her uterus to her bowl. She went on to have a miracle and surprise baby at 40 without any other intervention.

Re: One ovary working?
I am worried about the same only my left is the one that does all the work. I feel that I always ovulate on my left and haven't had any luck. I always feel it on my left. I was worried that something was off.
