Another D&C Question
Posted on the pregnancy board also...
For those that have had a D&C how long afterward did you cramp and bleed?
TMI Coming up...
I was cramping pretty bad the first 2-3 days and bleeding at a decent rate...yesterday it looked like the bleeding stopped and then late last night i started bleeding and cramping again...today is exactly 1 week...is this normal? should i call the doc?

I think you should give your doctor a call this morning and let him know.
I only had spotting for 3-4 days, cramping the first day. But I'm sure other girls will have more experiences like you.

I would call the doc and see what he thinks. If I remember correctly, I bled lightly for about a week, but didn't have any cramping.

I was bleeding on and off for about three weeks my first time (I was almost 12 weeks along). My second time it was a little less, but I was 9 weeks along.

well i was going to call the doc yesterday and then the bleeding became brown spotting and now (knock on wood) i'm barely even spotting...

I had a D&C this past Friday and I was cramping and had some bleeding (though not much) through the weekend. I really haven't had any cramping or bleeding since Monday, however, I most likely have a urinary tract infection (went back on antibiotics yesterday and waiting for confirmation from the urine analysis) so I have been somewhat uncomfortable!

a few days....and it gradually got better. I went back to work the day after my D&C, but didn't feel 100% for about a week.

I would call to be safe. I didn't bleed at all in the beginning. Then I bled a lot all of a sudden. I was concerned so I called and they said that it might have just taken longer for my body to get rid of all the extra stuff.
