DHA
Anyone feed their babies Gerber with DHA? I saw it's good for the brain and eyes maybe but when I read it and saw tuna oil I thought
I am going to ask the ped about it tomorrow but wanted to see what you ladies do.

Re: DHA
DHA is excellent for brain development, and research shows it is not only great for babies but for people of all ages, even senior citizens who suffer from alzheimer's.
I try to fit as much omega-3 fatty acids into my diet as I can (in food, but I don't take fish oil supplement), and I took a DHA supplement when I was pregnant and while breastfeeding. I don't know how true this is, but I have read in a few places that studies have shown that babies who get DHA in the womb and during infancy appear to be developmentally advanced in some ways by about 2 months over babies from the study who had none. Again, just quoting what I read that made me want to take it, but not stating fact. I also try to buy Gerber with DHA when I can, but I don't make it a point or anything. HTH!

Re: DHA
I would think it would be mercury free..as was our prenatals with DHA. I think it's a good question. Don't know the answer though!
