Why Jessica, Why?
Oh Jessica,
why is it that everytime you try to save up for something you find 10 more things you want?
why havent you gotten the tattoo youve been wanting for 5 months now? you just HAD to buy all of those clothes for your dogs, didnt you?
you say you want to buy something wholesale next week then you come across $200 jeans you just must have?
plus, dont you still owe your mother money and have to buy birthday gifts for 3 members of your family?
didnt you try to get DH to buy you a laptop last night?
why cant you just be independantly wealthy?
stop going out drinking 3 times a week and you'll get there.

yes, MAKE your dogs clothing! it is less expensive!
Go out less, eat out less.
Keep track of what you spond $ on for a week or two & see what you can cut out. Set aside a certain amount to save per paycheck & really do it.

The best way is to give yourself "allowance" from every check, and hide the rest in your bank account.
For example, let's say your weekly check is $500. Your allowance could be $100, and you'd put away $400, for a month, and you'd end up with $1600! This is assuming you don't have bills, and if you do, then minus it from that, and you have the rest to play with.
The bottom line is that you need to learn restraint & discipline. And the only way you can do that is by tricking yourself in believing u don't have $.

Great advice! It's a lot easier to spend money when it's burning a hole in your wallet. When it's not there though, you forget about it. Out of sight, out of mind

i'll try very very hard to.
on friday DH wanted to go out and we did, BUT i said we could only spend alittle bit of my money.. in hte end i only paid $20 out of my pocket! usually its aLot more.
i am going out with a friend tonight, but thats not too bad.
