Is this normal or should I be concerned.
DD is now 4 months. I dont know if Im being paranoid, but I find it a bit odd...DD has been putting her fists in her mouth for some time now (normal I know). But now its almost like shes ravanous (sp?) and almost violently putting them in her mouth. Like one min shes normal and the next its like she remembered she can do it...arms go flaling and she throws them in her mouth. Theres that, and I can just be holding her and all of a sudden she attacks me with her mouth, almost as to bite me. I find it kind of comical, but I dont know if these are signs of some sort that there could be something wrong.??

It's teething - think about how much pain they must be in when teeth are coming in - all of the above help relieve her pain a bit!

It's a normal combination of teething and an uncoordinated little being.

Re: Is this normal or should I be concerned.
i say teething, my ds put everything in sight in his mouth, he loves the pacifier holder, in all honestly i get so nervous because i don't want him to get an infection...today i was doing grocery shopping and he was in the front of shopping cart i turn around to pick out a product and when i look back he is chowing down on the rubber cup holder on the side.....its like an oral fixation its aweful and more so then other kids his age, hope he grows out of it soon

Do you think she could be hungry in addition to teething???

Re: Is this normal or should I be concerned.
Yea Kaydyn started doing this when she was about 2 months and still does it now at 14 months. She is getting her 4 molars and constantly tries to bite things....I think it makes her feel better.
