Valentine announces two dramatic moves:
-Everett will take over at shortstop, with Jeter moving to center field, effective immediately.
-Sabathia will pitch on three days rest for the remainder of the season.
"Derek has been taking flyballs for about a month now, before any of you guys get to the park," Valentine tells reporters.
Jeter insists he is comfortable with the change.
"Just don't expect Bernie Williams," he says with a wink.
