Chest pain....I don't know what this is.
Anyone ever get this stabbing feeling in their chest. It's in my upper chest area towards the left. I had it yesterday too and it won't go away. I have no idea what to do???

You should go to a cardiologist or your regular dr. You can't ignore chest pain.

ITA !! call your doc and they will propably do an EKG ! Do you drink alot or any caffeine?

I know this sounds silly but everyone tells me thats gas. Since Ive heard it from more than 2 people I started to believe them.

I used to get that a lot. It was anxiety for me. I was young to but it still scared to have that pain and my mom decided to get it checked out. It was on the weekend so my doctor wasn't in and we went to emergency. Even if you aren't concerned you should still get it checked out.

Sometimes it could be anxiety or gas.. but I would have it checked out anyway.. You don't want to mess with chest pains.. Feel Better!!

I am not a doctor, but you should check with him/her to make sure it's nothing serious. In my case, I tend to strain my chest muscle, so I usually take a painkiller and apply a hot water bottle to the area. As others mentioned it could also be gas. It's hard to say, especially about the chest area! Feel better!

Thanks for all the advice. I leave for NY today and didn't go to a doctor yesterday, thinking this would be gone by today. It's not 
I have a feeling it's anxiety but it's really uncomfortable. I feel like gas would have passed by now. I guess if it gets really bad i can see a doctor in NYC...im there till Thursday....this is kind of scary.

My DH had those types of pains about a year ago so he went to ER, then cardiologist for extensive testing. It was nothing to do with his heart. He had to go for an endoscopy still, but a lot of people told him it might be his gallbladder.
