BM is a little wack...
I'm sorry, I really try to rise about the pettiness and all get along... and usually it works. .. But I really think BM is crazy in some ways. I have to vent on this one little thing that drives me nuts: She likes to kiss 5 year old stepson with brightly colored lipstick and not wipe off her big bright lip marks - IT IS SO CRAZY! The poor little boy! This has been going on for years...
We have custody but this weekend is her weekend. DH and I are going away on a babymoon so we went by SS's school to say bye to him before we left town. We had told her we were going to stop by... And there's the bright red lipstick on his cheek. I nonchalantly wiped it off with my finger while we were talking to him and the teacher and I just exchanged a look about it... I swear I think BM would take a cow poke and brand his forehead with her initials if she could.

Why do they do this? BM used to call our house every night and ask to speak to "her son". Yea, we changed our #.
Then whenever he goes there for the weekend, he comes home with something that he has to show us. "Look what my mom bought me"

Hmmm I have to ask, does HE like it? I mean, maybe he likes having "a piece" of mommy with him when he's away from her. He's only 5, if he was 15 and she was still doing this then I'd agree that it's totally inappropriate. I wouldn't wipe it off, that's her son; I'd only care if I caught DH with bright pink lipstick on his cheek!! 
If he doesn't wipe it off himself then I would leave it, it's just not your place.

I'm envisioning your SS's BM to look like that lady Mary lives with in Something About Mary. LOL But ew! How gross! Why do that to your kid? That can be filed with when my mom used to wipe whatever off my face after licking her finger. GROSS MOM!

She has my cell only. She won't even call me on my cell. She texts! Even better!!

I don't know how anyone could do that to their child... I agree it's so gross! Issues.

If he doesn't wipe it off himself then I would leave it, it's just not your place.
Like it? noooooooo he does not like it. He usually doesn't notice it but when he does he says its "nasty" - he's five but he's smart.
