I'm backkkkkkkkkkk
I got a false positive  AF showed up todayyyyyyyyyyy. I'm not too upset b/c it was our first month trying so it's okay BUT I'm just annoyed that I got that positive and got my hopes up!!!!!!
Onto next month..

there could have been a chance you had a chemical.. i got a positive then AF the next day.. i was PG but it turned out to be a chemical..
have you spoken to your OB? you should mention that to them what had happened..

I agree. A false positive is very rare (unless maybe it was an evaporation line?).

yea , i saw my OB anyway to get a beta to see what the number was at.. just to confirm that i was indeed PG..
i would just call over to your doctor and just talk to him/her.. mention what had happened and see what they say.. it cant hurt..
not too many false positives.

I agree it is really rare to get a false positive and it may have been a chemical. I had 2 of them, I lost the pregnancies about 5-7 days after AF was due. Both times I saw my OB right away to be sure.

My body is really playing tricks on me. This morning I got the tell tale signs of AF...lower back pain and a spot of blood (TMI-sorry) usually warning me to wear a pad for the day. I have not seen anymore blood since that time! I DON'T UNDERSTAND!!!! I just wish AF would either show up full force or not show up....I'm definitely going to MD to see what is going on regardless.

Have you taken another HPT to see if it is still positive. You can spot and be pregnant still, or like others have said it can be a chemical pregnancy.
False positives do not really happen unless it is a evap line OR the person was on a medication to cause a fake positive.

i agree. you should definitely take another test to make sure it isnt just spotting...which is normal in some PG - especially so early!
