Awesome site for the shoppers (like me) to get cash back from their purchases.
Sign up for free, go through them to your favorite sites and shop, earn a percentage cashback (varies by store) for your purchases, accumulate moolah and get a check mailed to you.
Doesn't get better than that!!!

I had no idea people didnt know about Ebates. You can sign up yourself btw, you dont need a referral.

No one said you wouldnt want to give her a referral, did they?
I was simply letting people know who are new to the site you do not need one in order to join, unlike other merchandise-type websites like ruelala etc.
Usually as a courtesy, or just ethically, perhaps its a good idea if posting a referral link to a website where you get paid or rewarded for you signing up, the person may simply say so in their first posting as opposed to just posting the link and perhaps making it appear they are promoting something they like for free, and aren't getting anything out of it. But, JMO, no big deal.

I don't see what the big issue is? I'm informing others about a site that gets them money back off of their purchases. So what if I'm getting rewarded for it. The site itself is rewarding me for telling other people not the people themselves. Just the same as they are getting rewarded for signing up too (everyone wins). That being said why is it a big deal.

It IS a big deal! it's sneaky and unherhanded to post al ink without saying its a referral! It's not that you shouldn't get the money or people shouldn't click on the ink... it's not informing people beforehand that it IS a referral link. There's a good reason why many sites don't allow referral links to be posted. if you wanted to be straight forward and on the up and up, why didn't you say it was a referral?

i am sorry, i just don't understand. maybe i am new to all this. but the link is saving us $$ either way. why is it so underhanded for her to not mention that she get referral credits?
not being snarky, i truly just do not get why anyone would be upset by this.
