Is this normal? I think I am in trouble...

I am only about 9 weeks. But my pants already feel snug. I am eating like a pig (and of course not exercising). I figure between the eating, the bloating, and the fact that I already had a "mommy pooch" before I was even pregnant has contributed to my current swollen state.

But is this normal? I wasn't execting to show at all until about 12 or 14 weeks.

Here's what is making me so paranoid. I saw a client (doctor) that I haven't seen in about 2 months. Right away she said, "you're pregnant. i can tell." and then she pointed to my belly. well, more like my gut. now she has a thick accent but i could of sworn she said "5 months". I can't look like I am 5 months pregnant!!! If I really do, I am going to look like a whale by the time I deliver in November!!!!

Somebody please say something to make me feel a little better.

right now you are just bloated. it will bloat and deplete....you will NOT stay the way you are now!!!!!!

i only gained 1lb in my first trimester and started wearing maternity pants at 8 weeks. the bloating went down at 10 weeks, but i still had a little bump and a few people asked at that point. i really popped at 13 weeks. now that i'm 32 weeks i think my stomach size is the same(ish) as everyone else's (not bigger, etc.) everyone's different, so don't worry too much.

btw this is my first baby.

I'm pregnant for the first time too and by 7 weeks I looked like I was 4 or 5 months pregnant. It was mostly bloat and it went down around 12 weeks though.

That's usually the bloating and starts to go down soon and then you start to get the baby belly!!

Welcome to team whale.. No I am just kidding.. I gained 20 lbs in my first 20 weeks and now I am 30 weeks and have not gained anything for the last 10wks.. I was one of those people who gained alll in the beginning.. Dont worry it does stop and taper off.. You will be fine!!! Also the weather is getting nicer you can go out for little walks when your not so tired anymore.. It really helps you feel better.. Enjoy

I started to show right away. I'm 16 wks and up 6 1/2 lbs but I look much more preggers because I had a gut to begin with. Everyone gains differently. Don't sweat it!

I agree with other posters, you are just bloated now. In about 2 weeks, you'll probably feel much better.

I will start my 11th week tommorrow. My 1st appt was just 2 weeks ago. I was stunned to find I had lost 10 lbs but my clothes felt tight. Doc says it's because my uterus is growing and pushing everything up, like intestines etc.
