should I just call the Dr?

I still have not gotten AF and I'm at CD 39-40. My longest cycle since we started TTC was 34 days. I have gotten a few BFNs, but still no AF. How long would you wait it out, or should I just go ahead and call my dr? I should also add that I had CD3 and CD21 testing done last cycle and it showed that I was in fact ovulating properly, so I really can't understand why this cycle is so long.

I was just call the Dr and see what he or she says. They might say to wait it out but at least you'll know.

She called back while I was at work yesterday so I didn't get a chance to talk to her. I'll try again today. Still no AF.

Re: should I just call the Dr?

Not to hijack this post, but I am in a similar situation. I have been trying to tell myself that it is "normal" to have long cycles but this post is making me wonder if I should be concerned too...I am at CD38 and have gotten two BFNs. Should I test again? Call the doctor? What would the doctor even do or say?

I'm still waiting for the Dr to call me back. The reason we're Chat Icon over this is because I had blood work done 2 months ago and it came back that I am Oing properly and had a 27 day cycle that month. My longest in 7 months has been 34 days. I would "think" she is going to tell me to tae another test tomorrow morning and see hwat comes out. Then probably order up a blood test to see what's going on. Again, that is just my guess since we haven't actually spoken yet.

You never know. Aries had a similar problem, and wound up being pregnant.

Re: should I just call the Dr?

just a tidbit..my neighbor had a baby in sept..so her littlest one is 6 months. (she also has an 8 yr old and a 2 year old.)

she told me she missed her period for march and they were freaking b/c she's always regular never misses. but she has been on meds for post partum (she went to alchol rehab as well for postpartum) so i said well maybe things got screwey.

took 4 blood tests..all negative.

last week i told her our news and turns out shes pregnant too! the 5th blood test started showing her levels rising so its still early i guess.

but holy crap..she's 29 and will have 4 kids (3 under the age of 3 with this new one.)

oh and she also said that HPT's never worked for any of her pregnancies.

Re: should I just call the Dr?

I tested this morning and got another BFN. Chat Icon And today officially puts me at a week longer then my longest cycle. Chat Icon This is just too annoying. I think I'm going to give it over the weekend and then insist on a blood test. With DS I got a BFP the first day AF was due, so I'm kind of reluctant to think that I'm preggo now. Chat Icon
