Is this weird for IVF?
So I started my protocol on Sunday. I went in for monitoring on Wednesday and Thursday. They want me back in tomorrow (Friday) too! Is this unusual? They told me today that my largest follie was 12.5. but that they usually want it at 16.
I am just surprised they want me back three days in a row.

Do you have PCOS? My last IVF cycle (and I'm not exaggerating  ) I started stimming on Thursday, they had me come in for a sono and bloodwork on Sunday, then Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, AND Saturday for both bloodwork AND sono and then on Sunday just bloodwork. My retrieval was on Monday.   Anything's possible I'm afraid.

do you know what your estrodial level is (E2)? If it's rapidly increasing each day they'll monitor your closely.

Its Normal... they watch you very closely on IVF, they need to make sure they know when you are going to ovulate and trigger etc.. you shouldn't worry. Seems normal.

In the beginning every few days, but once the follies started getting big it was everyday.

For the last IVF cycle, I was monitored EVERYDAY DAY (Blood AND Sono) – Starting from the day after stimming to the day before retrieval. Like everyone else said, everything is possible! If you are really concerned, maybe you can contact your doctor to find out why you are monitored everyday.

OK, I have a weird question for you? Is your cycle covered by insurance or are you self pay? I think they have you come in more when insurance covers the visit. Just a hunch.

In fact, EVERYTHING is covered. I have the best insurance ever.

Totally normal...they need to monitor the follies cuz they can grow anywhere from 1 to 2mm/day...plus they also monitor your E2 levels to make sure you aren't getting ready to ovulate on your own.
