Question regarding labor/contractions (sort of a spin-off)
I have read alot over the last few months of moms going to the hospital already dilated some (4,5 or 6 cm) and the doc inducing them anyway. Why is that?

Sometimes your body doesnt progress after that... so inducing helps push things along

Re: Question regarding labor/contractions (sort of a spin-off)
Because my water had not broken, and DS's heart rate was elevated.
Never again would I induce..pitocin is evil, my epidurals failed, I went thru 14 hours of back labor hell just to end up with a c-section anyway.

Re: Question regarding labor/contractions (sort of a spin-off)
In my case, my dr was concerned that my DS was not moving as much, and I was not feeling any contractions at 4 cm. The last appointment she had me eating candy etc, to get him moving. I was induced the next day, and had a really good experience. My son was born 5 hours after she broke my water.
