How long did you wait?
Sorry if this has been asked before...I'm kinda curious.
When TTC, how long (or how many cycles) did you try without help from charting or checking CM, etc.
I want to go into TTC with a "just see what happens" kind of mentality. Guess around when I'll be ovulating and go for it. I'm wondering though how long I'll be able to keep that up before I start charting and checking for CM and all the other good stuff that we girls like to obsess over during TTC!
Oh and lots of baby dust to those currently TTC!

Re: How long did you wait?
With DS - the first month trying we did nothing really - we just didn't try to prevent it from happening and tried to BD every other day around when I thought (from those online calendars) I was ovulating. It didn't happen and I got impatient so then we used OPK's the next month and we conceived DS that month.
Now I am on my first month TTC #2 and I am using OPK's - I found it to be more stressful not knowing what was going on then knowing and planning accordingly Plus, with DH's hectic job and long hours and having a very active toddler - w/o OPK's it might take a while to get it right
I'll let you know what happens!

Re: How long did you wait?
first/ second month -winged it but "knew" there would be underlying issues.
third month - started OPK's
now at the end of 4th month- period stopped again so I am contemplating calling my doc for provera. I already have the rx for clomid.

Re: How long did you wait?
The second month I started with the OPKs, but I think after this month (and this is the third post miscarriage) I'm going to "go natural" again. I find myself going insane with all this stuff...

Re: How long did you wait?
I have PCOS so my doctor told me I should start taking my basal temp for a few months to make sure I actually ovulate. After 3 months, if I don't ovulate, he said he'd put me on Clomid.
It's amazing that women get pregnant by accident ALL THE TIME but when some of us want a baby and plan for it, it involves charts and tests and all that nonsense.

Re: How long did you wait?
With DS we winged it for the first 2 months. On the third month I used OPK and got preggo. This time I only spent one month just seeing what happens and went straight to OPK. That was 7 months ago. I have also had blood tests and DH has had a SA and needs to go for anpother one this week.

Re: How long did you wait?
My DH and I are still "winging it". If it takes longer than 6months with out any result then I will start charting and all that good fun stuff.
Good luck!!!

Re: How long did you wait?
it is rediculous - DH and I were talking about this last night - some ppl in our family just look at each other and they get pregnant -
