These GAP pants are killing me!!
I have two pair of Demi panel pants from the Gap. I started out wearing a size 4 when I first got pregnant. But then the waist got too tight and it was cutting across my belly. It hurt me and the baby was kicking all the time, so I'm assuming he didnt like it much either.
So I bought the next size up. That was ok for maybe two weeks, but now I'm in pain again!! It's so uncomfortable sitting at my desk. Occasionally I feel the thump, thump, thump from the baby, and I'm like, "OK, kid, I get it. I'm squishing you!! Mommy is sooo sorry!"
At $60 a pair plus alterations, should I even bother going up yet another size?? Or do go out on the quest for yet another pair of comfortable basic black pants from a different store?
Here's a pic of what the waist looks like. (Woah! That's a big picture!!)

That type of waist band (regardless of brand but mine were Old Navy and Oh Baby from Kohls) started bothering me somewhere in the early 2nd tri and I can only wear secret belly fit now.

I had the same issue with that type of waistband. I like wearing the full panel. I wouldn't spend anymore $ on that waistband if it is bothering you.

Re: These GAP pants are killing me!!
I have a pair of those on today and I'm hating them! Not only do they dig in, but I feel like they distort my belly
I prefer the full-panel pants, but don't know how comfy they will be in the summer/warmer weather...

That kind of waistband is only good in the beginning. Later in your pregnancy, they are just too uncomfortable.

Re: These GAP pants are killing me!!
OK thanks everyone. I will not invest in anymore of these kinds of pants from the Gap. Maybe they'll be good to wear post-pregnancy when I return to work. But for now, they need to go back in the closet.
Ugh. I don't mind spending the money on maternity clothes when I know I'm going to get a lot of use out of them. But this just stinks!
Great....more shopping for me!

I HATE those waistbands! The bella band on top does help it a little. Try that.

Aw, I've had good luck with Gap Maternity stuff! Would you consider the full panel pants? I have some of those and they are way comfy

Re: These GAP pants are killing me!!
I am so surprised because these were the only ones that fit me properly. I was able to wear that style until I delivered at 40 weeks 2 days with DD.

I actually have several pair of full panel pants and I love them. (They also help hold in my belly button that's half popped out!) But I like the quality of the Gap ones better.
Gap does sell one pair of full panel pants. I dont know if I should give them a try or just go with a different store all together.
