IVF out
Well I recently recieved news about my first IVF cycle...BFN! This was my first cycle with IVF and i am feeling really down,,,not to mention, I can not see my RE to discuss what happened until June 1st...im feeling very negative towards my experience with them and I am thinking about changing RE's...Im currently at East Coast with Dr. Kreiner...A friend has reccommended Reproductive Specialists of NY..the mineola office...and I also have seen lots of posts about Braverman.,,i guess i am just trying to get a feel as to what else is out there...im still of course going to follow up with Kreiner, but after 4 failed IUI's amd now a failed IVF, i want to have other options...am i jumping the gun?

Re: IVF out
I just started this process in Oct and I am 45, so time is of the essence for me. I have jumped RE 3x.
My thinking is if you feel disatisfied, do a consultation with other REs...interview them like they are applying for a job....of getting you pregnant and hire the most appropriate candidate for the job. Good luck

Re: IVF out
I do not think you are jumping the gun AT ALL! Do what you think is right for you and your DH.

Re: IVF out
I am sorry your cycle was unsuccessful.. I personally would not recommend RSNY, I think they are fine if you have minor issues but are not really great if you have anything involved. If I were you, I would consult with Braverman and maybe LI-IVF.....I'm 43 and had success twice with LI-IVF and I know a few people who have had success with SIRM....

Re: IVF out
I'm so sorry. I would definitely consider going to another RE. I switched after 4 IUIs a failed IVF and a failed FET. It can take some time to make the switch but it is worth it if you feel more comfortable with the new RE.

Re: IVF out
I agree with Gerty, I would not recommend RS at this point for you. I know people have had success with them and they are very nice.
I am on RE #3 - Dr. Braverman. I cannot speak highly enough of him or his office. I have never met people more thorough.

Re: IVF out
I'm so sorry I don't have any advice on the RE, but I do think it's a good idea to have a few consults with other REs. You have to be your own advocate.

Re: IVF out
So sorry that your IVF did not work
I always say to follow your gut. I am new to this whole experience, so I'm not sure if them making you wait over 2 weeks for a consult is normal, but I would think that at the very least a phone call would be in order. Good Luck

Re: IVF out
i am so sorry, and no i dont think you are jumping the gun at all..
you have to feel 100% comfortable with your RE and trust them with all you have.. the minute you are feeling unsatisfied is when you should even just make a consultation with another.
i see Dr. Braverman and he is absolutely amazing, nothing negative to say.
