The same thing happened to a friend of mine - she was sure she was a certain amount along and freaked when they couldn't find the heartbeat. She went back the next week and there it was. Don't give up hope!!
I know how torturous this can be but please try to stay positive. You have no idea when you ovulated right?
How long ago was your last appt and how far along were you measuring if you don't mind me asking?
I had a sono at 6wks and we couldn't see a HB yet.
I have no clue when i o'd since i never had AF after my D&C in March. My last appt was 5/4 and we saw the GS and Yolk Sac but no baby. So the doc was estimating around 4-5wks

When did you see the heartbeat?
I didn't have my next appt until about 9 wks and saw it then.
If you were closer to 4wks at your last appointment then it would make sense that you're around 6wks now and a lot of times you don't get to see a HB until closer to 7wks - perfectly normal.
Try to hang in there - I know, easier said then done. Keep yourself busy this weekend!!
