Summer work for a teacher..help!

I am a teacher who needs something to do over the summer..for money..haha...but, honestly, I know a lot of people are telling me to relax, but it's hard and I would rather not spend the summer spending money, if you kwim.

I would like something not completely stressful, not necessarily everyday (but can be)...is there anything anyone can think of?! I am DONE with the camp scene completely and don't really want to be hardcore teaching, as I do feel I need to recharge my teaching batteries, if that makes sense. TIA!!

well I can think of a lot of part time jobs but you really need to make a list of things you like to do. do you like to be outdoors all summer? or you prefer the A/C better??

what kind of hours? most retail jobs want at least 1 weekend day-is that a no go for you?

then go from there

Re: Summer work for a teacher..help!

depends on what you want to do and what "recharges" you...

Teacher positions can be found at some of Long Islands large companies with small student/teacher ratios and fantastic day trips over the summer. Consider companies like CA in Islandia or Motorola in Holbrook.

Something light and a bit of fun could be as a hostess in a restaurant; working at a private country club; or working at a craft store where you can get ideas for the new school year Chat Icon

Good luck!
