My Gyno appointment
Well went to they gyno today. Told her I came off the pill cause hubby and I are going with whatever happens happens. My last period was 4/18, and no I'm not pregnant. I've always been very irregular. I've had cysts and blah blah blah. Although she said I don't fit the criteria for PSOS, that's what it seems like I have. I'm not ovulating  So she's giving me another month to get my period, and then I have to go for blood work to check my progesterone levels. I said "but what if I don't get it before then?" She said that I'll have to take something to bring it on. She said if I was older (I'm 25) then she would start right away. After all this, if my progesterone levels are low, I'll have to start Clomid. Can anybody tell me about Clomid.?

Clomid is used to correct irregular ovulation, to help increase egg production and to correct luteal phase deficiency. The Luteal Phase is the day after ovulation and runs though the remainder of a women;s cycle. It is frequently referred to as "days past ovulation" or DPO. During the LP a woman produces progesterone, which increases her temp. This is very important in maturing a fertilized egg.
I was put on Clomid last year. My gyno did an endometrial Biopsy, and it said that I wasnt ovulating. My periods were very irregular.
It did help reglate my periods, but I didnt have any success on getting preggo.
I know some people have bad side effects. I only had headaches.

Diane's description was excellent! The only thing I can add is that I have hot flashes at nite when I am taking Clomid. Like Diane, it regulated my cycle but I didn't get PG, so I had to go to an RE who thinks I probably have PCOS also. I don't know what the general description of it would be, but I know I have a couple of the symptoms/signs.

I may have to go on clomid also, though I'm hoping things regulate on their own. Maybe you just need some more time after coming off BCPs? good luck!
