i know girls salivate over him for obvious reasons 
BUT... as a die hard fan... i don't think he is overated.. something over the past week is up with him with his AB. but its not like this has been going on for the whole season. i think he needs a rest.. i know he sat out on saturday.. but still.. something with his at bats lately are terrible.. can't hit a fastball.. his average is still up there and is avg with RISP is good too.
overall he is a great ballplayer
he is overated more because of the girls fanbase that is making him even MORE popular.

My thoughts on DW are that he puts a ton of pressure on himself to carry the team normally and now with all the injuries he's just pushing too hard offensively. thank god it hasn't affected his defense...yet.
slumping, yes. overrated, nah.
yea he is definitely just in a slump... lets hope he can turn that around soon!
