Question about teacher resume format

I have not done a resume in a long time, I have been teaching for several years in a private school.

what is the resume preference for the nyc public schools?

I want to send a resume to a school, but I am unsure if I should do it in a CV format or just a plain old resume format.
Which would they prefer? and if anyone can show me thiers or just the format they used it would be very much appreciated

theres a NYC public school hiring freeze, meaning teacher not already in the nyc public school system can't hire "new teachers"

I know, I have heard about that, things are so horrible today with this economy thank you for the info though.

In the future, if things get better, which format do they prefer? Just out of curiosity.

I have my name, address, phone # and e-mail as a header.

Then I have my:

Objective
Education
Work Experience
Professional development


But the above poster is right about the hiring freeze. Good Luck!

I think traditional resume over CV

People with CVs have a lot of research and education behind them. For a public school, that means paying you a higher salary.

Keep in mind new resume format do no include objectives at all. One of the other English teachers in my building, teaches a resume class at a college and she informed me of this. Had no idea.
