First appt
I have my first appointment coming up. I should be 6 weeks. Will they do a sono? TIA

They may do a sono or schedule you for one in a few weeks, it depends on the dr. Good Luck

Yes im sure they will do an internal sono to check that the sac is in place. Please dont freak out of you dont see a heartbeat. If youre early 6wks or 6wks on the dot, it may be too early to see it. As long as there is a fetal pole and yolk sac you are good to go

Congrats!!! You must be so excited! At my first appt at 6 weeks, they did a sono, but like everyone is saying, it totally depends on the OB. At six weeks, I still was a little early so they had me come back four days later and they saw much more development in the gestational sac and yolk sac.

My first sono I thought I was 6w exactly but there was a very little heartbeat so the dr said I was 5w 6d. Hopefully you'll get to see your LO's heartbeat! GL!!

Awww good luck! I am dying for my first appt but my doctor won't see me till 7-8 weeks and I'm scheduled for June 25th...I'm dying! At least you get to go in and get questions and such answered!

Congratulations! Many doctors won't do a sono before 8 weeks b/c of the likelihood of not seeing a heartbeat yet.
