Help please
I had an "epiphany" when I saw a photo of myself in what I THOUGHT was an outfit that made me look nice. HORRIFIED does not even begin....
I weigh too much for my height. I could use to lose 25-30 pounds to be at my "target" weight.
I just have NO idea where to start. I lost a lot of weight a few years ago cutting carbs and doing a version of Atkins. But as soon as I started eating carbs again, I gained the weight right back. I have tried WW, but always end up STARVING.
What has worked for others? Its time. I NEED to get healthy.

Re: Help please
I do WW and honestly I was scared as well since I knew going in my point value was low and all i tought was.... I was going to starve.
Since doing WW, Im not starving. WW has changed so much and I dont feel like Im on a diet.
There are so many foods that you can eat all day that are filling foods and wont let you feel like you are starving and best of all, lose weight!
I think you should consider it again. There are so many on WW here, the support system is great and very encouraging as well as HELPFUL.

Re: Help please
First of good for you for reaching out for advice, its a big step to recognize your issue. How about starting with an exercise program, walking, light weight training..build from there. You can also cut your portions, use a smaller plate/bowl. Drink lots of water and fill up on fiber enriched foods. Of course veggies/fruits in place of high fat snacks. Before you know it you'll start feeling better and get more and more motivate. The diets mentioned are not for everyone. You will figure out what is best for you as you progress. Good Luck!

Re: Help please
Good for you for taking action! Exercise should definitely be added to your daily routine--it'll help in your weight loss and make you feel so much better as well! When I decided to lose some weight I just did a lot of research online about different diets and instead of actually going on one I made a lifestlye change and incorporated healthy foods.
You should search online for a calorie counter too, I use one and it helps so much with keeping track of what I eat everyday. Most of them have message boards as well for support and advice.
