NEED a good orthopedist / doctor for lower back pain
I have been having a lot of lower back pain and have been through so many treatments to try and minimize the pain. Nothing seems to help... so I would like a second opinion.
I was wondering you anyone could recommend their doctor. If you are wondering, I have a severely degenerated disc L4/L5 L5/S1 and its herniated and on the nerve. The pain is constant and I can't seem to get any relief.
Any recommendations would be great! Thank you so much!

I go to Dr. Shapiro in RVC. He is part of Orlin & Cohen. Dr. Hammer is my pain mgmt guy, he is in Merrick now, also part of Orlin & Cohen. Feel Better!

My DS goes to Orlin & Cohen, too, in the Bohemia office. He goes to Dr. Feder for feet. They have a ton of doctors, each one specializing in a particular area of the body.

I had a spinal fusion for my scoliosis 8 years ago and I also have spondylolisthesis. I know back pain. My ortho is Dr. Michael Neuwirth in NYC. He's an amazing specialist. He did Gloria Estefan's surgery and worked with Chris Reeves. I also see someone he trained out here on the island. His name is Dr. Agulnick in Garden City. FM if you want more info on either doc.

Orlin and Cohen is a factory and you sit there and wait forver. They are very good but my husband has sat in that office waiting to see Dr. Shapiro for hours. They overbook. All they care about is money. We have switched and now go to Dr Eneman in Long Beach. He has the Physical Therapy office on the same property.

Dr. Robert A. Duarte in Manhasset at the NSLIJ Pain and Headache Center. He is a Neurologist who specializes in Pain management.

Me, I refuse to go to Eneman, I always seemed to wait forever, even when I was the first apt of the day
I've been to Orlin and Cohen in Hewlett (for my wrist) and was seen right away

I had back surgery done 5 years ago.
I went to Dr Palumbo- hes in West Islip right near Good Sam. There is Dr. Mullins in the practice also.
I felt SO comfirtable- they answered ALL of my questions- explained everything- every appt I was in there for alittle more than an hour- thats how much I asekd.
THeir number is 631-422-5371
I highly recommend them!
