Came across this amazing program! So excited!!
A friend of mine told me about this amazing program called Operation Love that has professional photographers volunteer their services to deployed or deploying military families. They do 2 sessions -- one photo shoot prior to the deployment and another one on the day of the homecoming with the family reuniting. For the first photo shoot, they take all the pics and then create an album that they send overseas to the soldier during the deployment. And its all FREE.
So, DH and I were talking about it and decided to sign up and see if we could get a session in August after the baby is born right before he leaves...and we got a call from a fabulous photographer in our area who is participating in the program and wants to do a newborn/deployment shoot for DH and I  I'm beyond thrilled -- and so excited for DH. I know how hard it is for him to leave right after  is born and these pictures will be a way for him to see our LO everyday
Just had to share the great news (and I'll post pics once we have the shoot). If anyone here has friends or family in the military, pass this info along to them -- its such a wonderful program, but not many people seem to know about it!

first off, that is so nice of photographers to participate in that! This is going to be a special gift that your DH can hold onto while he is overseas fighting for all of us back home
