Ridiculous policy at Michaels
I went into the store with 2 different coupons that were both valid today. One was from a register receipt and the other was from the newspaper. I was fairly certain that I could not use both at the same time but I asked anyway. I found out that I cannot use 2 Michaels coupons at the same time but it would have been okay to use one Michaels and one AC Moore. I had today's AC Moore coupon right at home but I figured that if anything, Michaels would take the 2 from their own store. I guess the policy is just to keep people out of AC Moore?
AC Moore is really no better. Did you know that you cannot use that week's coupons during the hours of the Sunday night madness sales? I was buying an item that was not part of the sale but because it was during Sunday night madness hours, I could not use my newspaper coupon that started eariler that day. That was a few months ago and they may have changed it but I have had a few similar experiences with them.
I could have brought my husband to Michaels and we could have each used a Michaels coupon by doing separate purchases. I also could have brought my ACMoore coupon and they would have taken it along with one of my M. coupons. Stupid.
Those 2 stores have shut down all the smaller craft stores but their policies suck!!!! I will be buying more craft supplies online and from the 2 scrapbook stores I go to. Are there local beading stores?

Do what I do. Buy one thing with a coupon and bring it to your car. Go back and buy the other thing with the other coupon.

Not sure where you are located, but I drove past this beading place the other day. Havent been in there yet, but it looked pretty big

I am a beader and I get all of my supplies online. I usually go through Fire Mountain Gems.
I've used them for more than 10 years back to the time I was the manager of the bead store in Huntington (that sadly no longer exists). Incredible service and great prices. Highly recommend them.

I don't even try with Michaels and the coupons anymore. I go another day, or to a different location. Sometimes I will bring DH just to make life easier. It is annoying.

I go to the one by the mall and I have used 2 40% off coupons at one time. it depends who is at the register, one time she said ill just ring this item up sepertely...and i ues both coupons

Cool. It looks lile the Bead store in Hicksville has some beginner clases!!!! I went to Jo-Ann's yesterday. I do not live near a Jo-Anns but I'll go again.

i have just started ordering from there and i have to say they have stuff i haven't seen anywhere else. the paper is gorgeous and such a difference from michael's!!! so many different things. just type in a color or a theme and so many things come up....i love it!!!
