6w2d sono
Had my 2nd sono today. Last time I went there (last week) we only saw just the sac.. nothing else.. this time I saw the baby AND the hb! I was so happy.. but they said the hb was low (90bpm) and also that I have a 2cm hemmorhage near my placenta. So of course I'm STILL freaking out. Doctor made me feel even worse when she asked if I want a script for Darvocet "in case I start to clot and bleed over the weekend".... WOW... that made me feel AWESOME! I appreciate that she didn't sugarcoat things for me... but at the same time I really wasn't ready to hear that, especially right after seeing the hb I'm trying to remain postiive until my next appt on Wed. She basically said there is nothing I can do to prevent a mc.. and that if it's going to happen its going to happen. I'm hopeful though.
Anyone else go through this?

Re: 6w2d sono
I went through something similar last Sept, the dr told us after the 2nd not so good sono, "Just remember there's someone on call for when you start bleeding" I switched dr's the next day, the new ob was caring, compassionate, his staff was amazing and he spent time to explain the whats, whys and hows. I am now 15 weeks and am very very glad he will be with me throught this pregnancy. If you need to chat feel free to FM me.

awww I'm sorry they said that to you! I was warned about this doctor before I got there. A friend of mine had her ONCE and switched. Luckily there are lots of other providers there and I don't ever have to go back to her if I don't want to. She said to me "I've had 3 miscarriages, you will want the Darvocet, it hurts!" I wanted to slap her! Here's hoping my lil bean is a fighter and will one day be able to pee on her

Re: 6w2d sono
If your baby implanted late then the heartbeat would be low since it prob just started beating. Ignore the doctor and focus on your baby. Good luck and I hope your baby has a nice strong hb to prove her wrong next visit

Re: 6w2d sono
It might just be really early. I saw my Dr yesterday and he assumed we conceived around 6/1 based on the date of my last period but I know for sure I didnt ovulate until 6/6. He told me I was very early and only did an exam. I have to go back in 2 weeks.
Try not to get too upset, I know its hard but stay positive.

Re: 6w2d sono
My cycles were very off, so I went in a bunch of times to get bloodwork and u/s's. At what would've been 4.5 weeks, did a sono, couldn't see anything other than a thickening endometrium but bloodwork confirmed pregnancy. At 6.5 weeks, did another sono to try to date the pregnancy, dated me at 6.5, had a hb, but slow. Went back a week later to check the hb, and the hb was great. I'm now just about 11 weeks and all is fine thus far. So, anyway, you just never know. You're in my thoughts.

Re: 6w2d sono
I had a massive blood clot around my baby up until about 15 weeks. I am now 30w4d and the baby is absolutely fine.
I hope the same goes for you.

Re: 6w2d sono
I had similar issues with my last pregnancy...coupled with really low progestrone levels (we're talking 3s and 4s) I kept going back for sonos and blood etc...Doc told me each and every time that he didnt forsee this being a viable pregnancy...
