Anyone scared out of their minds?

About having this kid?

I was always scared of it but now it's real thing.

I'm petrified.

Yes very..extremely excited but VERY nervous! I guess with the shower this weekend and staring at all the stuff at the house it's overwhelming! Life is going to change in just a few short weeks and the whole birthing portion? I can't even let myself think about it...i freak out.

Sometimes I'm thrilled but trying to remain calm since it's very early for me.

oh yes big time! i have a good idea of what im in for.. ive spent alot of time with newborns.. my DH on the other hand.. thinks hes prepared but has NO IDEA what hes geting himself into but hes super excited as am i.. but now that im only a week or 2 away im starting to get more and more nervous that im clueless!

umm...terrified, petrified..u name it.

i think giving birth scares me more than actually having a kid. but then again, i've never taken care of infants before so i have not a clue.

um...yes. i am due in 5 days and i am so scared. more of the labor part, but also the fact that knowing my life will never, ever, ever be the same is a bit daunting as well.

I'm only 5 weeks and i am petrifed of giving birth i think more so than anything else. DH and I are very nervous but excited at the same time.

I was so excited to become pregnant, and then once the initial excitement wore off the feelings of being terrified kicked in. I have been around babies and infants my whole life, but all the sudden I feel like I know nothing. You are not alone!

Sometimes, but I try not to think about that....I try to think about what I do know, and other stuff thats going to keep me busy...I do have a few moments of freak out time though

Lately yes because I'm getting close...I don't know what to expect, it's more the fear of the unknown....I ordered my Laugh & Learn about Childbirth video so I hope it gets here soon!

ya know...i was completely fine and not scared at all (just reallyyyyy excited) until it dawned on me over the weekend that i'll be down to double digits on my countdown tomorrow! its gone by so fast i feel like i havent had a chance to get scared or think about the actual birthing process. but now that im thinking about it im starting to get the jitters lol!

Yes! Now that I'm less than 3 weeks away I'm sooooo scared. Not so much about delivery, mostly just trying to wrap my head around how much my life is about to change (in a good way of course!)

OMG..the thought of cleaning out the baby's room to make room for the baby has my head spinning!

I have so far to go.

Terrified of labor, not sure my level of fear of becoming a mom.

Terrified all the time and have BTDT already. Doesnt make the fear go away.

Now that work is over for the summer and I have time to think about how my our lives are about to change in a few months, I am very anxious and emotional. DH was playing the guitar before and I was just staring at him and thinking we only have a few weeks of "us" left. Once the baby arrives, our relationship will take on a different meaning all together. He looked so young sitting there, like the kid I started dating years ago. I felt a sudden rush of emotion thinking about the moments we share just the two of us--where would they go? Then I think about bringing the baby home-- how fragile is the life that is completely and totally dependent on us for her care. I'm scared I'll f-up, that I won't know how to react, that my motherly instincts (which have thus far been noticeably absent) won't kick in. As for the actual birth, I refuse to think about it, read about it or listen to what it will be like--she's gotta come out somehow. It's probably the one thing about this pregnancy that I'm least worried about!
If I allowed myself to worry, I'd never have time to enjoy this experience. Perhaps that in and of itself is motherhood kicking in--think about all of the time we'll spend worrying once our little ones arrive!

As it gets closer I start to get even more nervous. I'm extremely scared of the labor part.
