Call = Bad News?
During our first appointment last week at 5 weeks, they took blood for all kinds of tests. My OBGYN told me "no news is good news" and that they will only call if something is wrong.
Well, I got a vm this morning asking me to call back about some test results. I almost fainted. I called back but apparently my OBGYN is out this week and I have to wait for a nurse to call me with the results.
It's been almost 2 hours and I cannot think straight I am so worried.
What could it be?
I'm so anxious

Since the Dr. is out, it could be anything from them just giving you your results to something minor like RH factor to more.
Try not to worry.........it's probably nothing.

i got a similar phone call around that time. My was that my beta score came back and i wasnt as far along as they thought i was.
So it was nothing to worry about
ETA: they aslo asked if i ever had the measles, bc it came back i want immune ot it. I had the shot, but i guess it didnt take

since this is the first blood work I would guess it's the standard tests that just check your immunizations, blood type, random gluecose... stuff like that. My doctor called me too (which also scared me) but they just wanted me to know that I was not immune to fifths diease. Hopefully the call is something not to serious.

My doctor had called to tell me that my progesterone was really low. They gave me suppositories and I was fine. Hopefully it is something simple for you

I got the call back.
I am a carrier of Spinal Muscular Atrophy. DH now needs to get tested to see if he is also a carrier. Since I am, the nurse referred us to a genetic counselor.
No one in my family history has ever had SMA. I just spoke to my mom (who had three kids) and she was in disbelief.
I don't know what to think. I want DH to get tested ASAP so we can meet with a genetic counselor.
Does anyone have any experience with this?
