Why does my DS want to sleep with a board book??

I don't get it. The last few nights, we say goodnight to the moon. So, I started reading him Goodnight Moon - we always read a book before bed. Tonight, he wouldn't let me read it to him, just cuddled it and put his head on my shoulder. I figured he was wiped, so I went to just lay him down and he clutched the book - Ok, fine - let him keep it. He is literally cuddling it the way he normally does his Pooh Bear every night Chat Icon Didn't try to look through it, just cuddled it. Weird, right?

Nina sleeps with a book EVERY night. She throws everything out of her crib except her book!

as long as she was sleeping, i wouldn't have cared if she cuddled up to a lobster.

We read Goodnight Moon (niigh niigh moom according to DS) before bed and DS kisses it goodnight. And last Saturday when my dad put him to bed, the book was in bed with him tooChat Icon

I don't think it's weird, probably bc my DS #1 us to sleep with lemons (or oranges if no lemons were available)

Ditto. I am a little embarrassed to say I let my DS sleep with one of his shoes once because he pitched such a fit when I tried to take it away from him. Chat Icon

DS sleeps with at least one book every night. It's great because it keeps him busy in his crib in the morning. I can hear him "reading" over the monitor every morning and it buys me more time in bed before I have to get him. Chat Icon

Same with DD! I actually think it's great. I'd give her a the whole library as long as she's happy at bedtime. Chat Icon

DS likes napping with some board books--it's a new thing, he never wanted them before.

I figure they can't really hurt him, and if it makes him go to sleep, great.
