How many IVFs did it take to finally get pregnant?
And did you do anything different that IVF cycle?

You might want to try posting this on the pg board to get more results.
I didn't vote because I'm pg for the 2nd time.
Anyway, for DS, 1 IVF and it worked.
TTC #2 - 4 IVF cycles to get pg.

I voted 1 - but it was 1 fresh IVF and 2 FETs that got us pregnant.

The first time I got pg was on the first FET of my second IVF cycle....second time was the first FET of one IVF cycle...but I had done 4 FET's beforehand with leftover embies from that second cycle.

Technically I had 5 IVF cycles, however we only did 3 actual transfers. The first IVF transfer was BFN, the second resulted in m/c or ectopic, and the third transfer was BFP using PGD.

I got pregnant on the 3rd..
What i did different.. INTRILIPIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! INTRILIPIDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I sware this was my answer.. Then I say the lovenox and the steroids.. I think the intrilipids made my egg quality better.. No real proof but its my GUT feeling.. And I would bet my life on this..

My 1st IVF cycle I did conceive- but it was a chemical
2nd IVF- got pg w/ my DD
What was changed was Lupron and Bravelle/Menopur were used on #2 instead of BCP & Follistim...We had much better quality embies on the 2nd IVF !

I put 3...but, there's a story. First IVF I only had 1 "good" embryo after PGD, which really probably wasn't good because it was only 6 celled on day 5 and resulted in a chemical. Second IVF I had no good embryos. 3rd IVF was with Dr. Braverman, first cycle with him, didn't do PGD, pregnant first shot!

I did 2 IVF cycles, got pregnant both times, but miscarried the first one.
The 2nd cycle I added accupuncture, I had much better egg quailty that cycle too.

I was lucky that our first IVF worked. About 8 months prior to the cycle, I started walking about 4 miles a day and eating better, and lost about 20-25lbs. My daily walks at lunch were soooo therapeutic. I also started therapy, and about 2 months before IVF, I started acupuncture. The day of my transfer, I had an acupuncture session immediately before and immediately after the transfer.

It worked for us on cycle #2. What I did differently was switch REs (to the head doctor in my practice - his approach was way mpre aggressive); I went on Metformin for 3 months prior,took a different prenantal vitamin, I saw an acupunturist specializing in IF, did yoga, and added ground flax seed and Co-Q10 to my diet...

eta: The egg quality in the cycle that worked was a TON better than previously....for IVF#1 I had a ton of fragmentation and in the 2nd one you could see the improvement...

2nd IVF, the only thing I think was different the second time round was that I knew what to expect and wasn't as nervous

THis is the same for us... but I voted 3... ehhehe lmao... I didn't know what to vote b/c we went through 3 transfers... but only 1 IVF Stimming process....
