telling parents tomorrow
and i am so not excited.
i have one DC under the age of 1 right now and i know they are going to say something about it being too soon, or ask me if it was planned, or how we are going to afford it.
and of course DH's parents are going to be thrilled and excited for us.
my family sucks sometimes.

It's a joyous occasion. Let them say what they want. In the end they will be thrilled.

Re: telling parents tomorrow
I hear ya!
After something that happened today, I think I have to wait a very long time to tell my family. Like wait until I start to show.
And its so unfair because I am DYING to tell my dh's family (his parents know and are ecstatic!) so now my family is ruining it for the rest of his. I might tell them anyway and hope mine doesnt hear it thru the grapevine.
Good luck!
ETA: I was so excited to feel slightly queasy that I called dh and woke him up to tell him!

don't let them make you feel down a baby is wonderful news even if they don't show it, I am sure they will be so excited once your new one comes

Re: telling parents tomorrow
They might surprise you. I was nervous my mom would be concerned (not in a bad way, but say something out of concern that would bother me). I had told her a while ago we planned on keeping them close, and she commented that she hoped we weren't stretching ourselves or that we'd be moving or renovating when I'm 9 months PG. Needless to say, we probably will be
Anyway, when I told her I was almost defending myself in my announcement, but she was thrilled for me - and in the end realizes we're adults and thought the decision through. Plus, she had 3 of us by age 20 - so who's she to talk ?
Have fun!!

good luck and no matter what their reaction is, you know how incredibly blessed you are..if they don't see that, it is their problem

Re: telling parents tomorrow
when I told my parents that I was pregnant with #2 their response was "Poor Nina". My parents are absolutely amazing but sometimes they just dont think before they speak.
