I don't think that Cosco one (my parents have it) is rear facing
And Kerry, I wouldn't buy a used car seat, even from people on here, you don't know what has happened to it.

About every 3rd week, they have them on sale for $39 each instead. Just check the flyers.

Walmart sells the Cosco Scenera. I believe it's around $40 or $50 and it has good ratings.

It says only online, but they do sell another version of it at the actual store. I've seen them near the other carseats..they don't come in a box, only in a storage bag.

The cosco one is rear facing..it is for 5 lbs and up. it is $50 at Big lots this week.

I dont agree with this neccesarily. I think at a garage sale, used store etc maybe it is unsafe, but I dont think you mean to imply that anyone on here would sell something to the others mom's that was unsafe and not tell them? If I were to list a carseat and I plan to list my sisters which is for sale soon ...I would never put it on here if it were in an accident or anything like that and I dont think anyone on here would either...maybe just my trusting nature, but I would buy one from someone on here.

I don't think that anyone on here would intentionally sell a carseat, but some people are not aware that after an accident, even a fender bender, that the seat should be destroyed or that after 5 years they are stale, etc, etc
You have to do what you are comfortable with and there isn't much that I wouldn't buy used, but a carseat is worth the investment.
