When did your child start sleeping through the night?

My son is 7 1/2 weeks and I feel like he is never going to!!

7 1/2 weeks is waaaaaaaay too early to expect them to sleep through the night. At that age my DD was up every 3 hrs. on the nose. At 3 months old she cut out the middle of the night feeding and slept from 10pm till about 9am. At 4 months old she cut out the 10pm bottle, had her last bottle at 7pm, went right to sleep and slept till 7am. At almost 10 months old that is still the schedule she is on.

About 6 months. He was up 2-3x/night until then.

Ds started sleeping from 11pm through 7am at 10 weeks old. But, as he hit growth spurts and teething, he started waking through the night periodically. This would last for 2-3 nights at the most. At around 4 months he started going in his crib at 8pm and I wake him at 7am to get him ready so I can go to work. If I let him sleep he will stay asleep until 7:30-8:00. One time he slept til 9....I was in my glory that morning.

Since about 2 1/2 months he has his last bottle at 7:30-8pm, goes down about 8-830pm and wakes about about 5-530. I wish he would sleep until at least 6 but I am not complaining!! We still get the occasional 4-430 wake up though!!

On a regular basis? Probably a little before he was 1....from about 7 months on he slept most of the night but always did an AM feeding (like 4 or 5am) before getting up at 6 or 7

3 mths, and it would have been sooner if it wasn't for her reflux.

I too thought the day would never come but as soon as we got the right formula, DDs reflux improved and she slept through the night, from 9pm to 730 am.

Now at 8 mths she sleeps from 930pmish, to 730-900am. No rocking, no pacifier, it is heaven!!!

Trust me you will get there!

Way too early IMO to STTN. Hang in there, eventually they will.

DD started STTN on her own at 6 months... 7/6:30pm - 6:30am

sporadically at 8 weeks, consistently at 9 weeks - at that age, she was sleeping 8:30pm -6:30/7:00am, taking a bottle in the morning and going back to sleep until 10:30am. DD is now 5.5 months old and will wake around 6ish, but talks in her crib for 20 minutes before falling back to sleep until 7:30 (this is on the weekend, during the week we wake her up at 6:45 for daycare)

However, this is not the norm, every child is different and your DC will sleep through the night when ready.

AT exactly 3 months the 4am wakeup ended and she started to sleep until close to 7. Its funny that stat is ingrained in my mind. What a milestone for the whole family

DD started at a day before she turned 2 months. Now at almost 23 months she still does and has woken up during the night only a handful of times, mainly when she was sick and when we travel.

I know we are VERY lucky. I feel for anyone that doesn't have it as easy.

With my first DD she slept through the night pretty much from about 2 weeks on. Now with this DD were at 6 1/2 weeks and she'll sleep one stretch of 5 hours at night and that's it. Every child is different.

I'd consider you extremely lucky if you had a baby that STTN at 7.5 weeks. Babies usually need to eat every few hours at that point.

Some babies start STTN fairly early, but many go through a sleep regression around 4 months old. I think most babies are capable of STTN at 4 months old, but that doesn't mean they do it. Every baby is different. My 7 month old has STTN twice. Since he turned 6 months old, he typically wakes up once per night and I'm grateful he has gone down to this as opposed to waking 2-3 times per night.

6 weeks...from 11pm till 5am-7am. Thought it was a fluke but lasted .

we got 5 hour stretches a bit earlier, since that is technically STTN, but at 8 months she began sleeping from her bedtime until morning (11 hours).

not common at all but at 5 weeks, my dd would sleep from 10-5am, wake up to eat and then go back to sleep

DD was 3 months when she started sleeping through the night.

Kaydyn was sleeping for 5-6 hr stretches at 6 weeks, but didn't fully STTN until 8 months.

First time was at 6 weeks. She did it regularly around 8-10 weeks.
