AUGUST 26TH *GTG - Western Suffolk* please pick time
DATE: Wednesday, August 26th 2009
LOCATION: Tanner Park, in Copiague
We will pick a meeting place once the time is set.
Please vote for a time that is most convenient for you, and post here. Please list yourself as well as your child(ren).
For those of you that are unsure of where Copiague is, it is a town located right near the Nassau/Suffolk border in the Town of Babylon.
A little bit about the location -
sprinkler park, brand new playgrounds, boardwalk, beach, skateboard park, and concessions
Town of Babylon residents can enter for free with the permit. Non residents can either pay $15 (on weekdays, $20 on weekends) to park, or park outside on the street and walk in.
Myself, Octmommy08, as well as Patti08 all have permits. We each have an extra convertible seat and don't mind bringing 1 parent and 1 child. FM me for more details (1st come, 1st serve).
Please feel free to either pack a lunch or buy lunch from the concessions.
I have done a few "drive bys" and I have seen MANY people parking on the street and walking in. Of course, it is taking a chance, but if I did not have a permit - I would park on the street and walk in.

11:30 would be best for us.
But I'm not totally sure if we could go, because I don't know when I'm starting my new job or what days I will be working.

I voted for 1 pm, but 11:30 is OK. 10 is way too early, IMO.

I voted for 10 and don't mind 11:30, but we may be there early. We'll have to leave by 1 or 1:30 for DD's nap.
I will have a green balloon tied to our stroller or whatever stuff we have to help us find each other.
The different areas of the park are so spread out. I'm guessing most of us won't be using the skate park. Once the time is set should we pick an area to meet in or plan for an hour at the playground then move to the sprinkler park?

I vote for 10 am, could do 11:30 too; 1pm wouldn't work w/ her nap sked.
Like Patti said we'd have to plan on where to meet as the playground & sprinkler park are "blocks" away

I didnt see the original post but I would love to take DS that day as long as I haven't gone into labor yet

Seamus will be 13 months old then
1130 is best for us.
He gets up from his morning nap around 10/1015 and then goes down in the afternoon at about 2 or so. 11 am is perfect!

Based on what we've seen at Venetian, I think the earlier the better. So we vote 10.
