What to buy?

DH and I are moving into our new home next week and SD is getting a gorgeous new room (pix to follow befores and afters) we got almost everything done for her room but I want to take her out and get her clothes for when she stays by us (she always comes with a bag for her pjs and clothes and such) such as pjs, socks, undies, lounging clothes, bathing suit, sandals, but we have NOTHING for her here so I don't know where to start.

We don't want to buy too much stuff because they grow so quickly (KWIM) and she's only with us one to two times a week... Any help is great. TIA

It sound like you already know what to buy:) I think I would add a sweater or light jacket into the mix for those cool summer nights. Also, a beach - pool towel. I'm not sure of her age but, maybe with her favorite character on it.

DD always brings a bag with her too; she doesn't have any clothes at our house although I always tell her to bring something extra to leave here. Things like an extra jacket (in case it's unseasonably cold), PJs, dress-up clothes (in case you feel like spontaneously going someplace nice). Extra shoes and sneakers in case others get dirty, or old things that can get dirty so new things don't get ruined. Extra socks and underwear are always good in case things get wet. A bathing suit, a hat, and for a girl a hair brush and hair accessories. This time of year it's good to have shorts and capris or pants because it's hot during the day but might get cold at night.

we always used to keep extra sweatshirts for those cool days, extra underwear, socks, etc. for SD

SHOES! I swear there is always a battle over shoes. Make sure she has a pair of sneakers and dress shoes for your house too. I always like to buy her a couple of outfits to keep here for occasions too so she's not going in "play" clothes.

I don't know how old your SD is, but mine LOVES Justice and they have some really cute things in there that are stylish and trendy. If you sign up for their emails they send you 40% off coupons all the time which is good b/c that store can be pricey.
